Are You a Fan of the Arts?
Chico is home to many music and theater venues, as well as art galleries and festivals, museums, and historic buildings! Watch an indie movie at the intimate Pageant Theatre, or bring the kids for a day at the Gateway Science Museum.
Can’t Get Enough of the Great Outdoors?
Beat the heat in the summer by swimming in one of the countless swimming holes along the Chico Creek, or the nearby Lake Oroville, test your mountain biking skills in Bidwell Park, or catch a baseball game at the stadium!

Lover of Food, Beer & Wine?
Chico is home to the world-famous Sierra Nevada Brewing Company, which hosts an annual Oktoberfest and other outdoor events on their Hopfield, as well as live music at their state-of-the-art venue. Thanks to Chico’s close proximity to the many orchards, we enjoy year-round farmer’s markets (held downtown), and a variety of wonderful restaurants with chefs who make excellent use of the fresh produce!

Interested in Furthering Your Education?
Chico is home to our most notable instututions, Chico State University and Butte College. With author Raymond Carver and the NFL's Aaron Rodgers among the famous alumni, both schools feature beautiful campuses and an impressive array of course offerings.
